Nah. Nice try, broder. You’ll just have to live with being second best.

(But lucky for you that you can now visit the best place on earth easily again, since the airlines opened up, ¿no? Christmas at your place or mine?)

[OOC: Speaking of Puerto Rico, this guy right here plays my absolute favourite version! Go check him out!]

…eh…”trying”.

Pues, I can say things aren’t…as hostile as they used to be, but like hell we’re suddenly best friends again or something. The 1960’s aside, we hadn’t really been getting on so well for a good thirty years before that for various reasons.

OOC: Get to know the player behind the icon and other such stuff and nonsense.

¡Hola! I’m Kelsey, age 21 and intrepid United Statesian. In the coming days/weeks/months/whathaveyou, you’ll be seeing a lot of my face.

No, not that face.

Yeah, something a bit more like this.

Anyway! I made this blog because I’ve been roleplaying Cuba on several different platforms for over two years now, and this seemed like a fun way to delve into the culture a bit more while informing others and being entertaining as well! I’m perfectly happy to accept relatable affliations and always happy to receive questions.

Please note that this is not a “shipping” blog and I likely will not answer too many questions regarding this character’s romantic life.

(…but I’m also certain that my bias will become obvious soon enough.)

It’s wonderful to meet all of you and I hope that you’ll both have fun and learn something new!

Hey, just a suggestion but, could you make an actual post answering the questions (like most askblogs do, screenshooting the question and then answering them in a post?) instead? I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd love being able to reblog the answers. I'm glad to see this blog alive btw! I was so sad when I found it and it was empty :(

((Ah, I was actually planning to! This is sort of transitioning over into an Ask IRL…blog thing. But my inbox is full of questions, so I was trying to answer the easy ones quickly. I’ll do that from now on! Thanks for sticking with me, lovely anon! ♥))

What happened to this askblog, it never started :I

((Ahhh, I apologise. School suddenly attacked me like a vicious 18 foot crocodile and I have more time now that the winter holidays are approaching! EXPECT MORE SOON!))

Favorite singer?

Mi azúcar, por supuesto.

askpuertorico asked:

Hey, Alejandro! What's your favorite thing to drink in Cuba, not counting alcohol?

Qué, like soda? Ahh…Materva and Tukola and TropiCola are popular, but I like Jupino.

(Y café.)

Materva is an herbal soda (made from yerba mate, and Argentina can stop being smug right now). But it’s pretty sweet, unlike mate. Kind of like bubble gum?

Tukola and TropiCola are…well…cola. They’re very popular in Italy too!

Jupino is a pineapple-flavoured drink. It’s very sweet, so it’s usually had when eating something salgado.

(And café needs no further explanation. Café is God.)

It’s something like this.

((I promise I can draw better than this, hff. I JUST WANTED SOMETHING BRIGHT AND COLOURFUL TO START US OFF. Thank you, Anon!))
